Friends

Today we had a friend come and stay with us. Tessa stayed with us while her mom was at work and her dad was at school. We had a blast. She and Hudson are a week apart. They enjoyed laying next to each other, although I'm not really sure if they realized the other one was there. I couldn't resist taking some pictures of them. Hudson sure does love the ladies! Such sweet kiddos!

Photo of the week

Today Hudson is officially 2 months old! I am amazed at how fast the time has gone by. Unfortunately, today we celebrated by taking him to his 2 month dr. appt.....and yes, the shots were horrible. He also has a little cold, so our sweet little boy just is not feeling too great today (but he sure looks cute!) He now weighs 13 lbs 2 oz. and is 23 1/4 inches long. Hudson took his shots like a champ, we were so proud of him and we plan on spending the rest of the day just resting. Hudson is laughing and smiling more and more each week.

Granpa and Grammy

Last weekend Granpa and Grammy came to visit. We loved having them here and Hudson really enjoyed having some Granpa and Grammy time. Here are a few pics of their time here.

Our growing boy

Well I didn't quite get a picture up yesterday, but one day off isn't too bad.

Thursday photo

So, I have decided to cheat off a friend (thanks Suzanne) and post a picture of Hudson every Thursday...or at least attempt to. It's amazing how much he changes constantly. Last Friday he began to laugh. He doesn't do it often, but mom and dad sure try hard. It seems to come down to finding that fine line between playing with him so much that he laughs and annoying him until he cries. Of course we are going for the laughs, but we are not always so lucky. Well, we hope you enjoy the newest picture of our big boy.

Christmas

This Christmas was so different than our previous ones. The obvious reason being that we now have a new addition to our family. We spent the week in The Woodlands with my family. Everyone was in town, something that has not happened in a very long time. We felt truly blessed to be surrounded by so much family.

As we watched the kiddos, I couldn't help but think that this was the same way that our Christmas's with the cousins must have been like so many years ago. I forgot what a joy it was to watch little ones enjoy the excitement of the holidays. As you grow up Christmas takes on such a different feeling that sometimes it takes being surrounded by little ones to remind you of the past.

We loved having Hudson with us this Christmas even though right now he has no clue what is going on. We are excited about getting to teach him the meaning of Christmas and sharing this special time with him as he gets older. Already we like he has gotten so much bigger, sometimes I feel like I am looking at a little boy rather than an infant. What a joy it is to watch children grow and learn....I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for our family!
