Gymnastics Exhibition Day

At the beginning of June, Parker had her gymnastics exhibition day. It was a little overwhelming, for her and the rest of us. The whole family was excited to see all the different things that she has been working on and she was anxious to show us. When we arrived Parker was a little shy because there were so many more kids than what she is used to and it was an "open gym" format. Basically, she could go and do whatever she wanted and we got to follow her around. Hudson loved getting to do a few things and Elijah had more fun just getting in the way of others. Christian and I had a blast watching her. It brought back some random memories from my gymnastics days (so long ago!). Man, this girl is STRONG and fairly fearless. Going slow and taking her time is not one of her strengths (at least not on beam) and that is no surprise. I am thankful for this outlet for and so glad that she loves it so much. And one day, if she doesn't love it anymore, we will find something else for her and I will be just as excited. Sorry for the picture overload....I just couldn't resist (but I didn't put any of the videos up:)

Blueberry Picking

was AMAZING!!!!!! We all had so much fun and came home with tons of super yummy blueberries. We went to Blueberry Hill Farms and we will definitely be going back. Hudson and Parker (and our friend Landen) we amazing helpers and Elijah ate his weight in blueberries. It was such a sweet morning with friends. The kids and I got to talk about God's creation and beauty that He allows us to enjoy and be a part of. I love those sweet moments when things seem to click with the little ones and they have a greater understanding of our great God. What a joy and blessing this day was to us.

Hudson's Last Day of PreK

Another school year has come to an end! Parker, Elijah and I joined Hudson for the last few of hours on his last day of school. Graham Cracker Express had all sorts of fun things planned and Hudson asked for us to come and be a part of it. I was really glad that he invited us and he was so proud to have all of us there with him. Thank you Graham Cracker for opening up your doors and allowing us to come and play. Parker is also very excited that she will be there next year. We really enjoyed getting to play with all of Hudson's friends, it's no wonder why he liked going to school so much.

FC Dallas

In early May we took the kids to a FC Dallas game. We got a great deal on Groupon and thought it would be a fantastic family outing. Hudson loves soccer and we knew he would be thrilled to go. We were right about Hudson, unfortunately Parker and Elijah had different feelings. During the National Anthem they fired cannons and that is when we lost Parker. The noise freaked her out and from then on everything was too loud. She sat in her seat screaming and holding her ears. And then we had Elijah......who was tired, hot and hungry and was not excited to be confined to a small space. Finally, around half time I (Erin) took Parker and Elijah up to the top row to see if that would help with Parker's ears. It was still too loud for her so she spent the rest of the game lying down on the concrete under the seats. At some point Elijah fell asleep and I was free to enjoy/watch some of the game. On the other hand, Christian and Hudson had a wonderful time once the other two kids and I moved up. Hudson enjoys every aspect of soccer and was constantly firing questions to Christian. This kid wants to understand every aspect of the game. He loved taking in the whole atmosphere of the game. We are thrilled that he enjoyed it, but next time it will just be Hudson and one parent that gets to go! First look at the field! Our tickets allowed us to go down on the field. All the kids enjoyed this part but Hudson was ready to get to our seats and watch the game

Summer has begun!

Here are a few of the things that I anticipate we will spend lots of time doing this summer. My kids LOVE to be outside, so we will have to get out first thing when the temperature really starts creeping up there. Yay for summer and all the fun that will be had!
