Beach Boy

This dude belongs at the beach!  He had such a blast and definitely looks the part.  His pictures were hard to choose.

Big Sister at the Beach

P is such a joy to watch explore new(ish) things.  The joy that radiates from her face reminds of God's love for us and His desire for us to experience Him in all things.

I have a feeling there will be lots of handstand pics in her future

Gymnastic Blue Star Meet

Sweet P had her first gymnastic meet Friday night.  We had a great time watching and cheering her on.  She did a fantastic job.  This girl has grown and matured in so many ways this year.  I am so proud and blessed to be her momma.

Our Biggest Little at the Beach

This kid stayed on his board the whole time and was not too thrilled when we had to leave.  He is becoming one confident, independent young man.

Memorial Weekend in Galveston

We had a wonderful Memorial weekend in Galveston with my mom.  Lisa, one of my roommates at A&M even came to hang out with us one afternoon.....a fantastic treat!  The weather and water was perfect.  We went down Friday morning, missing a lot of the traffic and had a calm afternoon at the beach.  We bought some boogie boards for the kids Friday night and were so excited to watch them with them Saturday.  And who am I kidding, I loved them just as much as the kids!  They were definitely a hit!  We have too many great pictures to throw in one post so I am going to divide them up.  Here is picture overload #1:

Circus Fun!

H's theme in phonics over the last few days was the circus. We don't always do a super fun activity but I love it when we do. H is content to speed thru work and doesn't want to do activities and it's easy for me to skip them. I was reminded yesterday that even though activities are not necessary for him to grasp something (unlike his sister) I still want to do them. Plus, we had a blast putting on a circus for daddy when he came home from work!

A moment to smile

One beauty of homeschooling is that my children get to spend lots of time together. Some days/moments are beautiful and some are extremely sanctifying for all involved.  Today I am focusing on what makes me smile and fills my heart with joy. Praising The Lord for allowing us these moments

Trinity River Audubon

Friday we took a field trip with our Classical Conversations group to the Trinity River Autubon. We all LOVED it and can't wait to go back!  We had a guide that talked with the kids about ecosystems and we looked at water bugs and then hiked to the Trinity River. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the outdoors. We are all ready for Spring!
